MESSIR-MSG

n MESSIR-TermAFTN is a PC-based AFTN terminal solution to be used in airports (Control Towers, Flight Briefing, local airlines …) as well as remotely, for AFTN subscribers who wishes to type and receive AFTN messages. This may be for example the case of an airline company, or an administration office. MESSIR-TermAFTN complies with ICAO requirements and allows to store locally up to 90 days of traffic, ready for instant retrieval.

n The Man Machine Interface of MESSIR-TermAFTN is exclusively driven with mouse through user-friendly menus and dialogs familiar to Windows users and intuitively simple to learn for new computer users.

Message forms and message editor

n MESSIR-TermAFTN includes a message editor that uses forms based on standard Flight Plans and other message formats as defined in ICAO Doc. 4444. Users accustomed to manually complete Flight Plans will easily use these forms. Message editor provides standard word-processing facilities (cut/copy/paste) and allows the operator to build his own message templates.

Syntax check

n MESSIR-TermAFTN message editor checks the consistency of the operator inputs to ensure the message will meet the AFTN standard message format.
