Changing over from pilot to stand-by is automatic (or on request) and immediate. The stand-by server is permanently updated, in real time, with the data received by the pilot. There is no need to restart, reboot or reinitialize the application on the stand-by.

Readiness for AMHS. MESSIR-AFTN AMHS Gateway allows for both sending messages over the AMHS network and receiving message from AMHS network. MESSIR-AFTN uses an X.400 P3 API (Application Programming Interface) to communicate and exchange messages with other AMHS systems
