First MESSIR WAFS system installed in the Caribbean

CURACAO has become th first WMO RA IV member to choose the MESSIR-VISION WAFS system to upgrade its forecasting facilities.
The Meteorological Service of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba has opted for a MESSIR-VISION Forecaster's Workstation coupled with a MESSIR-COMM Telecommunications System which will be dedicated to the ingestion and distribution of data.
Data processed will include WAFS, radar, and upper-air stations data.
This data will be ingested by the MESSIR-VISION WAFS system for display and manipulation by forecasters.
MESSIR-VISION offers a large set of tools to help forecasters analyse data coming from models, satellite, observing stations and radar systems.
All these facilities are available in a Windows environment to give forecasters a lot more flexibility and comfort in their day-to-day job.
