The MESSIR family of products is exclusively based on the most well-known and well-proven industry standards: Intel platforms ( PC, Servers), various platforms (HP, IBM, SUN, SGI), UNIX, Windows.
A standard MESSIR-COMM configuration includes :
- Two Intel-based servers in hot stand-by mode
- Smart PCI add-on boards for multi-port handling
- Automatic or manual change-over units to switch lines
from pilot to stand-by server
- Line interfaces such as modems, hubs, routers,
satellite receivers …
- PCs for supervision
- Rack-mounted in a 19’’ cabinet
MESSIR-COMM is available
under Windows 2000/XP, UNIX, LINUX. Programming languages are C and C++
ANSI.
MESSIR-VISION, MESSIR-AERO
and MESSIR-MEDIA run on PC platforms
under Windows 2000/XP with a last generation Intel Processor, 512 MB
RAM and 40 GB disk. The Windows 2000/XP operating system permits
connections to a wide variety of printers (color, black and white,
laser, inkjet, ...), scanners, plotters.
The MESSIR software is
exclusively Object Oriented.
The MESSIR Windows range
of products has been developed in C++ with Microsoft Visual Studio
using the latest programming technologies.
The programming languages are :
- ANSI C++, in a COM/COM+ (Component Object Model
technology) and ActiveX environment technology.
- HTML, Javascript, and ASP (ADODB, components,
…) for the Internet/Intranet Web interfaces
- OpenGL for 3D data display
The database uses a three-tier architecture based for
ODBC, OLE DB on COM/DCOM providing an open database environment.
Ascendant compatibility is ensured by using MFC
serialisation.
The WAN/LAN technology used in MESSIR sticks to the
latest standards : Fast Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, Gigabit Ethernet ,
Ethernet IEEE 802.3, ISDN, IP, PPP, TCP, Multicast UDP, SNMP, SMTP
& POP3, X400.
